In January, I got a 1948 Allis Chalmer WD. I LOVE tractors (I'm such a farm kid at heart!) and had just kinda started looking when I stumbled acrossed this one. I'll take it on the 'Great Nebraska Tractor Ride' in June with my Dad, Uncle Richard, brother, Doug and about 150 other people!!! lol

Its is really great shape. I had the motor completely re-done by Doug (a very good friend of my family, like an Uncle to me) who is a tractor mechanic. I picked it up on Saturday morning at the implement. Dad took these pics of me bringing it home. I took it to my parents yesterday morning and Dad changed the battery & re-did the ignition switch while I went and worked out. Then, yesterday afternoon, Dad and I went for a tractor ride!!! We were out about 2 hours and dropped them off at my house...because we were FREEZING and took the Bronc back into town!

Nice looking ride! What color you going to paint the wheels, i'm assuming the body will be A-C orange? And you have to pay extra for the radio, that come set up to plug in the ipod? Oh and now that you have a tractor maybe you can get your garden planted this year

Wow...pick on Carr day!?!?!?!?! Yes...the plan is to plant a garden this year again...and I think Bo might come out and share 1/2 my garden bc he is thinking of pulling his out this year but still wants one.

I'm thinking it will be AC orange with cream accents (like the wheels will be orange & cream to look 'original'). Not sure if Bo will have time (or ambition) to paint it this year but maybe this winter. Seems we all have plenty of projects currently going - lol!

Really? WD's? Its waaaay fun! When Doug was showing me how to break in the motor, I was driving and he was on the fender and I'm like "whoa...we're hauling a$$!" He's like "ummm, no we're not" and giggled. I'm like "whoa...to me we ARE!!!"

yeah WD's indeed, yeah hit that road gear with the traction lock.....yeah you just broke into a stride.

Rockstar!! Since you asked for my friendship on FB (lol), I checked out some of your pics and didn't see any of the ol' WD'!!! Looks like a lot of riding and some farming, oh and a Diesel pic here or there!!! ha ha!
